When will the ZZZ x HSR collab begin?
The collaboration is confirmed for ZZZ Version 3.4. Based on the October 21 launch of Version 3.3 and a normal six-week schedule, Version 3.4 could begin around December 2, 2026. The date remains an estimate.
The ZZZ x HSR collab is officially coming to Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.4. HoYoverse has confirmed that Kafka and Robin will visit New Eridu, making them the first announced Honkai: Star Rail characters on the ZZZ side of the crossover. However, neither character has been introduced as a playable Agent, and their banners, combat roles, W-Engines and acquisition methods remain unconfirmed.
The exact ZZZ x HSR collab release date has not been announced. Based on Version 3.3 launching on October 21 and the usual six-week update schedule, Version 3.4 could begin around December 2, 2026. This is a schedule-based estimate rather than an official release date.
Meanwhile, the Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.8 side of the collaboration is expected to feature Ellen Joe and Astra Yao.

The most important distinction is simple: Kafka and Robin are confirmed to appear in ZZZ Version 3.4, but that does not automatically confirm them as playable or obtainable characters.
HoYoverse revealed Kafka and Robin at the end of the Version 3.3 Special Program before sharing crossover artwork through the official Zenless Zone Zero social media accounts.
Both characters are shown in designs adapted to the visual style of New Eridu. The official announcement says they are coming to share an “unforgettable journey” with Proxies

Some early leak discussions describe Kafka ZZZ as an Anomaly Agent, which would fit her damage-over-time identity in Honkai: Star Rail. However, HoYoverse has not confirmed her Attribute, Specialty, rarity, abilities or faction.
Until an official Agent Record or combat demonstration appears, Kafka could still be:

Unverified reports have associated Robin ZZZ with the Defense Specialty, but there is no official evidence supporting that role. Her HSR identity as a Harmony support character does not establish how she would function under ZZZ’s combat system.
If Robin becomes playable, HoYoverse could reinterpret her performance and support themes through buffs, shields, coordinated attacks or another mechanic. These possibilities remain speculative until her Agent profile is released.
The ZZZ 3.4 banners have not been announced. HoYoverse has only confirmed that Kafka and Robin will appear during the collaboration.
Promotional artwork alone is not enough to confirm that both characters will receive limited Signal Search channels. They could be playable Agents, free event characters or story-only guests.
Players should wait for at least one of the following before treating Kafka and Robin as banner characters:
HoYoverse has not confirmed the exact ZZZ Version 3.4 release date.
Version 3.3, titled Journey to the Sky, is officially scheduled to launch on October 21, 2026. Gematsu If ZZZ continues its usual 42-day update cycle without delays or extensions, the projected Version 3.4 date would be:
| Version milestone | Date | Status |
| ZZZ Version 3.3 launch | October 21, 2026 | Official |
| Projected end of Version 3.3 | December 2, 2026 | Estimated |
| Projected ZZZ Version 3.4 launch | December 2, 2026 | Estimated |
December 2 should not be presented as an official date. Maintenance timing, server schedules and the two banner phases will require separate confirmation.
The next meaningful update will likely come through Agent Records, collaboration teasers or the Version 3.4 Special Program.
If both characters become limited S-Rank Agents and use the normal Exclusive Channel rules, players can use the following maximum budgets for preliminary planning:
| Pull target | Maximum pulls | Maximum Polychrome |
| Reach one S-Rank signal | 90 | 14,400 |
| Guarantee one featured S-Rank without an existing guarantee | 180 | 28,800 |
| Guarantee one featured S-Rank with a saved guarantee | 90 | 14,400 |
| Guarantee two featured S-Rank Agents without saved guarantees | 360 | 57,600 |
The table does not include W-Engine pulls. Existing pity, a saved guarantee and Encrypted Master Tapes would reduce the remaining Polychrome requirement.
If Version 3.4 introduces a special crossover Signal Search, its pity and guarantee rules could be different. Check the in-game channel details before converting Polychrome or using saved tapes.

The collaboration will also extend to Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.8, where Ellen Joe and Astra Yao represent the ZZZ side of the crossover.

| Astra Yao as a playable HSR character | Not confirmed |
| HSR 4.8 banners | Not announced |
| Paths and Combat Types | Not announced |

As with Kafka and Robin in ZZZ, an announced appearance does not prove that Ellen Joe and Astra Yao will enter the HSR 4.8 banners. They could appear through story content, event gameplay or another collaboration format.
No shared currency, pity progress or event progression between ZZZ and HSR has been announced. Players should treat the two sides as separate events unless HoYoverse publishes rules stating otherwise.
The collaboration is confirmed for ZZZ Version 3.4. Based on the October 21 launch of Version 3.3 and a normal six-week schedule, Version 3.4 could begin around December 2, 2026. The date remains an estimate.
Under the normal system, pity and guarantee status carry between qualifying Exclusive Channels of the same type. However, HoYoverse has not confirmed whether the collaboration will use normal Exclusive Channels or a special banner format.
No. These roles come from unverified information and should be treated as leaks. Their official Attributes, Specialties and abilities remain unknown.
