October 2026 Game Releases

End of Abyss - October 1

Platforms: PS5, Xbox, PC via Epic Games Store

End of Abyss is a dark science-fiction action adventure from Section 9 Interactive.

Players explore an abandoned underground facility as Cel, a young combat technician investigating a mysterious disturbance. The game combines top-down combat, equipment upgrades, environmental exploration, and Metroidvania-style progression.

ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE - October 2

Platforms: PS5, Xbox, PC via Steam

ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE is the first new mainline ACE COMBAT game in seven years.

The campaign places players in the cockpit of real-world fighter aircraft and follows a pilot forced to carry the legendary name "Wings of Theve." Missions combine arcade-style dogfights, dynamic weather, detailed cloud environments, and cinematic storytelling.

Gears of War: E-Day - October 6

Platforms: Xbox, PC, Steam

Gears of War: E-Day returns to the opening hours of the Locust invasion.

This prequel follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during Emergence Day, the event that changed the world of Sera. It retains the series' third-person cover combat while introducing updated movement, new enemies, cooperative play, Horde content, and competitive multiplayer.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer - October 6

Platforms: PS5, Xbox, PC

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a high-speed racing game set in the Outer Rim after the fall of the Empire.

Players can choose from several repulsorcraft classes, customize their vehicles, and race across branching routes filled with tactical risks. The game includes a single-player campaign and competitive multiplayer.

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival - October 8

Platforms: PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, PC

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival is a single-player, first-person action-horror game based on the Hellraiser universe.

Players fight Cenobites and other creatures using melee weapons, ranged weapons, and supernatural abilities connected to the Genesis Configuration. The game does not require an internet connection.

FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE - October 22

Platforms: PS5, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2

FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE is the first FINAL FANTASY game presented in Square Enix's HD-2D style.

Its turn-based combat system allows players to exploit enemy weaknesses, stagger opponents, gain additional turns, and perform Resonance attacks. The Visions system introduces characters from previous FINAL FANTASY games as party-building options with different skills and abilities.

The game also brings back familiar series elements, including crystals, airships, espers, and chocobos.

Regional note: Console and Xbox on PC versions launch on October 22. The Steam version may become available on October 23 in some regions.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 - October 23

Platforms: PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, Battle.net, PC

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 continues the rebooted Modern Warfare storyline with a conflict centered on the Korean Peninsula.

The campaign follows a young squad of South Korean soldiers while Captain Price conducts a separate mission outside official command. Missions take place across Korea, New York, Paris, and Mumbai.

Multiplayer and the extraction-focused DMZ mode return alongside the campaign. Eligible digital preorders include Campaign Early Access beginning October 16. The game will not be released for PS4 or Xbox One.

Phantom Blade Zero - October 29

Platforms: PS5, PC via Steam

Phantom Blade Zero is a fast-paced action RPG inspired by Chinese martial arts and dark fantasy.

Combat emphasizes precise parries, evasive movement, weapon switching, and cinematic martial-arts combinations. Its environments combine traditional Chinese architecture with mechanical devices, supernatural enemies, and interconnected areas.

Regional note: The official global release date is October 29, although some North American storefronts may display October 28 because of time-zone differences.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered - October 29

Platforms: PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC

The Wolf Among Us Remastered brings all five episodes of Telltale's narrative adventure to modern platforms.

The remaster features improved lighting, animation, environments, audio, and presentation. It also adds a black-and-white Noir Mode, behind-the-scenes interviews, concept art, restored material, and playable deleted scenes.

The digital edition launches on October 29. Physical editions are planned for the first quarter of 2027.

SURI: The Seventh Note - October 30

Platforms: PS5, PC

SURI: The Seventh Note is a rhythm-action platformer inspired by Indian art and architecture.

Players control Ajira, a young girl searching for a fruit that could save her mother. Jumps, dashes, escape sequences, and other actions must be synchronized with the soundtrack as she attempts to restore the island's disrupted rhythm.
