BuyBlackbird is an S-Rank Psyche damage dealer scheduled to join Neverness to Everness in Version 1.4 Phase 1 on September 30, 2026. Her recommended build uses Crime and Punishment, Devil's Blood: Curse, CRIT stats, and teammates who can trigger Nova or Stain. Blackbird combines off-field coordinated attacks with a powerful Witch of Deliverance burst window, making her particularly effective in quick-swap teams.

| Skill Priority | Ultimate > Redirect Skill > Basic Attack > QTE |
Blackbird should normally be built as a Psyche DPS. Her coordinated attacks let her contribute while another character is active, but most of her personal damage still comes from spending Malice during Witch of Deliverance.
Blackbird's combat loop has two parts. Her normal form builds Malice and prepares coordinated attacks, while Witch of Deliverance spends that Malice during a shorter burst window.
Blackbird's Redirect Skill, Netherplume Rite, deals Psyche damage, generates Malice, and applies Forsaken Feather to the target.
When another active character attacks the marked enemy, Blackbird triggers a Forsaken Bird coordinated attack from off-field. This allows her to continue dealing Psyche damage while teammates use their Skills, Ultimates, and Support Skills.
Apply Forsaken Feather before switching characters. Otherwise, the rest of the team cannot trigger Blackbird's coordinated attacks during the setup portion of the rotation.
Malice is Blackbird's personal combat resource. Her normal attacks and Redirect Skill generate it, while her transformed attacks consume it for additional damage.
Requies Animarum transforms Blackbird into Witch of Deliverance and increases the team's ATK. Her normal attacks become Pyreflame, and she gains access to stronger attacks such as Deathflame Passage and All Fires as One.
Try to enter Witch of Deliverance with a high amount of Malice. Casting the Ultimate too early reduces the resources available for Blackbird's transformed attacks.
Upgrade Blackbird's abilities in this order:
Ultimate > Redirect Skill > Basic Attack > QTE
The Ultimate receives the highest priority because it activates Witch of Deliverance and controls Blackbird's main burst window.
Her Redirect Skill comes next because it generates Malice, applies Forsaken Feather, and enables coordinated attacks. Basic Attack remains important because Blackbird uses separate attack strings in her normal and transformed states.
QTE can be upgraded last because it contributes less to her main damage rotation.
| Arc | Recommendation | Best Use |
Crime and Punishment | Best overall | Main DPS and hybrid builds |
Ravenous Blade | Strong CRIT stat stick | Main DPS without the signature Arc |
Good Boy's Grand Adventure | Team-focused alternative | Quick-swap and sub-DPS builds |
Watch Your Heads! | Budget CRIT option | Players without a suitable S-Rank Arc |
Crime and Punishment is Blackbird's signature Arc and her best overall option. It provides CRIT Rate, Cycle Intensity, and Psyche DMG while also increasing the team's CRIT DMG after Blackbird casts her Ultimate.
The additional personal CRIT DMG aligns with Witch of Deliverance, giving Blackbird a larger boost during the exact window in which she deals most of her damage.
Ravenous Blade provides high ATK and CRIT Rate, making it a useful stat-focused alternative.
Its full passive is designed around dealing Incantation damage, so Blackbird cannot make complete use of it. Treat Ravenous Blade as a strong stat stick rather than a fully synergistic replacement for Crime and Punishment.
Good Boy's Grand Adventure is better suited to a hybrid or sub-DPS Blackbird. It provides ATK and increases the team's ATK after the wearer casts an Ultimate, supporting the quick-swap portion of her playstyle.
It can also be obtained through the Morphix Anomaly instead of a limited Arc banner, making it a practical option for players saving their pulls.
Watch Your Heads! is an accessible A-Rank alternative with CRIT DMG.
Its Lakshana-related effect does not directly improve Blackbird's Psyche damage, but its offensive stats can still help while you wait for a more suitable Gas Arc.

The four-piece Devil's Blood: Curse is Blackbird's best Cartridge set.
Its two-piece effect increases Psyche DMG by 10%. The four-piece effect increases all damage by 18%, rising to 36% against enemies affected by Nova or Stain.
Blackbird already works well in Nova and Stain teams, so she can activate the stronger effect without forcing an unnatural team composition.

Use Speedy Hedgehog when building Blackbird for team support rather than maximum personal damage.
The set improves Charge Efficiency and increases the entire team's ATK after Blackbird casts her Ultimate. It provides less personal damage than Devil's Blood: Curse but can work when another heavily invested DPS receives most of the team's field time.
Prioritize the following stats:
Blackbird | Lacrimosa | Zankou | Sakiri |
This quick-swap team gives Blackbird access to Nova through Lacrimosa's Chaos attribute. Blackbird applies Forsaken Feather before leaving the field, allowing Lacrimosa and Zankou to trigger her coordinated attacks while setting up their own damage.
Sakiri completes the team with grouping and offensive support. Blackbird can return once the team's buffs and Esper Cycles are ready, activate Witch of Deliverance, and begin her main burst window.
Blackbird | Hathor | Daffodill | Sakiri |
Hathor supplies Lakshana for Stain, while Daffodill provides Chaos for Nova. This gives Blackbird access to both Esper Cycles supported by her passive.
The team does not need to trigger both effects during every rotation. Use the character whose abilities are ready, then bring Blackbird back for her transformed damage window. Sakiri helps keep enemies grouped and supports the team's overall damage.
Blackbird | Chaos | Sakiri | Iroi |
Chaos provides the Lakshana damage needed to trigger Stain with Blackbird. Both characters can share field time, making this team suitable for players who prefer a flexible rotation instead of keeping Blackbird active continuously.
Sakiri provides offensive support and crowd control, while Iroi adds healing and makes the team more comfortable in longer encounters.
A practical Blackbird rotation is:
For a Main DPS Blackbird, prioritize:
A1 Deserter > A6 Death and Life > A3 Blindness
A1 improves the damage tied to Blackbird's transformed finisher. A6 increases her Psyche damage after casting the Ultimate, while A3 strengthens attacks that consume Malice.
For a hybrid or support-focused Blackbird, A4 Bad Bones and A5 The Woodcutter's Rotten Axe become more valuable.
A4 improves the strength and duration of her team ATK buff. A5 reduces enemy resistance to Psyche, Lakshana, and Incantation damage, benefiting multiple characters in the team.
Choose Blackbird's Awakening nodes according to her role. Personal-damage nodes are less important when another character receives most of the active damage window.
Blackbird is worth considering if you need a Psyche DPS or enjoy quick-swap teams. She can deal damage from off-field through Forsaken Bird, strengthen the team with her Ultimate, and return for a concentrated Witch of Deliverance burst window.
She is particularly valuable for accounts that can build around Nova or Stain. Lacrimosa, Chaos, Hathor, and Daffodill all provide possible Cycle partners, while Sakiri and Iroi can cover support or survival needs.
Blackbird may be a lower priority if you already have two complete damage teams or cannot spare compatible teammates from another lineup. Her signature Arc improves both personal and team damage, but she remains usable with alternative Gas Arcs.
Pull Blackbird first before considering Crime and Punishment. A new character generally adds more account value than an Arc that only improves a character you do not own.

Yes. The transformation timer pauses while Blackbird is off-field, allowing brief swaps to refresh buffs or trigger an Esper Cycle.
She can deal damage without them, but Nova and Stain activate the stronger effect of Devil
Use CRIT DMG when her Arc and Type III Modules already provide enough CRIT Rate. Otherwise, use CRIT Rate until her damage becomes consistent.
Blackbird's strongest build uses Crime and Punishment, Devil's Blood: Curse, and a balanced mix of CRIT and Psyche DMG. Her gameplay centers on applying Forsaken Feather, building Malice, and spending it during Witch of Deliverance.
Nova and Stain teams make the best use of her passive abilities and Cartridge set, but her off-field attacks and team ATK buff also give her flexibility outside one fixed lineup. Good luck to every Appraiser preparing to bring Blackbird home in Version 1.4.
