WuWa Tier List 3.6: Best Wuthering Waves Characters Ranked

Qingxiao, Aemeath, Hiyuki, Yangyang: Xuanling, and Sigrika are among the strongest Main DPS characters in the current WuWa tier list. Lynae, Lupa, and Suisui lead the Sub-DPS and hybrid category, while Shorekeeper remains one of the most flexible supports.

This ranking is based on our UUTOP editors' assessment of late-game performance, team value, flexibility, and investment requirements. Character positions will vary depending on enemy resistance, level modifications, equipment, teammates, and player skill.

WuWa Tier List 3.6 at a Glance

The ranking uses the following comparison standard:

• 5-star Resonators are evaluated at S0.
• 4-star Resonators are evaluated at S6.
• All characters use an appropriate R1 4-star weapon.
• Performance in Tower of Adversity and Whimpering Wastes receives the most weight.
• Signature weapons and additional 5-star Resonance Chains are not included.

What Each Tier Means

A lower tier does not mean a Resonator cannot clear endgame content. A completed A-tier team can perform better than an unfinished S+ team with poor synergy.

Best WuWa Characters by Role

Characters are compared within their main combat roles. Main DPS units are judged primarily by damage and field-time efficiency, while Sub-DPS and Support characters receive more credit for buffs, off-field damage, healing, grouping, and rotation value.

Best Main DPS Characters

Qingxiao	ranks among the leading single-target damage dealers in Version 3.6. Her direct combat loop and boss performance make her especially effective in Tower of Adversity. Her value falls slightly in multi-wave stages and teams that cannot support Tune Strain.
Aemeath	combines high damage with consistent endgame performance. She works best with compatible Fusion teammates but remains less dependent on a single encounter type than many specialist carries.
Hiyuki	provides strong Glacio damage and effective burst windows. Her performance rises further when the enemy lineup and stage modifiers favor Glacio teams.
Yangyang Xuanling	She possesses powerful Havoc and Critical Strike damage with a high potential, but maximizing her potential requires a suitable team and a smooth skill rotation.
Sigrika	pairs competitive personal damage with useful team interactions. She is a strong choice for players who want a Main DPS that performs consistently across different encounters.

Other viable Main DPS characters include Luuk Herssen, Cartethyia, Phrolova, Augusta, Galbrena, Carlotta, Jinhsi, Camellya, Jiyan, and Xiangli Yao. They can still clear endgame content, but may require greater investment or more specialized teams.

Best Sub-DPS and Hybrid Characters

Lupa	contributes both personal damage and team amplification. She is particularly valuable in teams that can fully use her Fusion-related support.
Suisui	combines damage, utility, and defensive value. She may not lead personal damage rankings, but the number of responsibilities she can cover makes team building easier.
Denia	provides off-field damage and amplification for compatible Fusion and Tune Strain teams. She becomes more valuable when paired with a Main DPS designed around those mechanics.

Lucilla，Qiuyuan，Ciaccona，Iuno ，Chisa，Rebecca：They are powerful alternatives when their buffs or damage types match the chosen core damage output.

For more accessible options, Sanhua and Mortefi remain useful. Their short rotations and targeted buffs can provide more immediate value than a higher-tier character with no compatible team.

Best Support Characters

Shorekeeper	has one of the strongest combinations of healing, buffs, and team compatibility. Her ranking comes from account-wide value rather than personal damage.
Mornye	offers sustain and team support for lineups that match her mechanics. She can be more valuable than Shorekeeper in certain specialized teams, but is less universal.
Suisui	can also fill a supportive position while contributing damage and utility, allowing her to cover more than one team requirement.
Verina	remains a practical general support. Her straightforward healing and buffs make her useful for new players and accounts that need a second endgame healer.
Baizhi	can cover early sustain needs without limited-banner investment, although her rotation and team contribution are generally less efficient than the higher-ranked supports.

Tower of Adversity and Whimpering Wastes reward different combat strengths. A character should not receive the same rating automatically in both modes.

Version 3.6 Tier List Changes

Qingxiao enters the ranking at S+ because of her single-target damage, relatively clear rotation, and strong Tower of Adversity potential. Her main limitations are narrower AoE coverage and dependence on teammates that support her intended combat system.

Jingran’s Version 3.6 Phase II Convene opens on September 10 at 10:00 server time. He is currently placed provisionally in S tier rather than receiving a final rating immediately.

Jingran could move higher if his HP-scaling damage and self-shielding remain consistent without premium equipment. He could move lower if his best rotations depend heavily on specific limited teammates.

How to Use This Tier List

Start by identifying what your account is missing. A player with strong damage dealers may gain more from a flexible support, while an account with several healers may need another Main DPS for Attribute coverage.

Before building or pulling a character, check:

• Their intended role
• Compatible teammates already on your account
• Required Echoes and weapons
• Rotation difficulty
• Endgame mode coverage
• Whether they replace an existing character or create a new team
• Do not abandon a completed A-tier team merely to build an isolated S+ character. Team synergy, Echo quality, and rotation execution usually matter more than a small difference in general tier placement.
