ZZZ Phoenix Kit Explained

Phoenix does not play like a conventional Fire DPS. Her gameplay focuses on applying Anomalies, building Embers, and spending them when an enemy is already affected by an Attribute Anomaly.

Core Skill

Phoenix's Core Skill applies Weakened when a squad member deals Attribute Anomaly damage. Further Anomaly damage against that enemy can CRIT.

Anomaly Mastery above 145 increases the Anomaly CRIT chance, while additional Anomaly Agents in the team increase its CRIT DMG.

Basic Attack

The later hits of Phoenix's Basic Attack count as Burning Attacks and generate Embers. She can store up to 120 Embers.

At 90 Embers, Hold Basic consumes 90 and triggers Abloom if the enemy is already affected by an Attribute Anomaly.

Special Attack

Phoenix's Special Attack can trigger a Perfect Block when timed correctly. It also connects back into the Ember-generating part of her Basic Attack sequence.

Her EX Special Attack counts as a Burning Attack, generates Embers, and helps prepare her next Hold Basic.

Ultimate

Phoenix's Ultimate deals Fire damage and triggers a stronger Abloom when it hits an enemy affected by an Attribute Anomaly.

Phoenix's Signature W-Engine Nirvana Plume

Phoenix's signature W-Engine is her best overall option. Its current version provides Anomaly Mastery and Anomaly Proficiency, giving her both faster Anomaly buildup and stronger Anomaly damage.

Its passive also increases Phoenix's Fire damage after a squad member's Attribute Anomaly damage scores a CRIT. This condition naturally matches the Anomaly CRIT mechanic created by her Core Passive.

Angel in the Shell

Angel in the Shell is the strongest premium alternative for players who already own it. Its Anomaly Mastery and Anomaly Proficiency provide the two main stats Phoenix wants.

Not every part of its passive is designed specifically for Phoenix, so it should not normally be pulled only for her. However, it remains a strong stat-focused alternative when it is already available on the account.

Weeping Gemini

Weeping Gemini is Phoenix's most practical A-Rank option. It gains Anomaly Proficiency when squad members inflict Attribute Anomalies, making it particularly effective in teams that trigger Anomalies throughout the fight.

Its stacks require time to build, so it performs better in longer encounters than in extremely short battles. Even so, it gives M0 Phoenix a functional build without requiring another limited S-Rank W-Engine.

4-Pc Freedom Blues + 2-Pc Phaethon's Melody

At this stage, four-piece Freedom Blues with two-piece Phaethon's Melody is the most widely recommended setup for Phoenix.

Freedom Blues provides Anomaly Proficiency and reduces the enemy's Fire Anomaly Buildup RES after Phoenix uses an EX Special Attack. This helps her apply Fire Anomaly more quickly while following the same actions already used in her normal rotation.

Two-piece Phaethon's Melody provides additional Anomaly Mastery. This supports her buildup speed and Core Passive without adding another activation condition.
